The Garden House
Situated on the edge of the Carlton Gardens in Melbourne, this collaboration with Woods Bagot sees an uber luxurious European style apartment development come together. Part of a bespoke group of 46 apartments, the architecture archetype takes heed from the inner-city Carlton terrace homes. The large windows, expansive terraces and private courtyards, create places of enviable tranquillity. Curved elements throughout create interesting and unique interior spaces.
The ideas of flow and connection were key to this series of residences. Their obvious connection to the iconic gardens they sit alongside are an invitation for grandeur in themselves. A classic and timeless palette of the likely – stone, warm muted neutrals and custom joinery and storage – these comprise the ingredients that set this development as an icon on apartment living. The idea of downsizing or living in higher density doesn’t have to mean a compromise on luxury, and Garden House is testament to that.
