A semi-detached Federation dwelling, St. Kilda Residence pays quiet, considered homage to its heritage and history through careful, deliberate, openly attentive and considered curation. The original architecture is allowed to lead, with only what the home asked for introduced carefully and the urge to over-design quietly resisted. Material, light and a considered furniture program settle alongside the existing detailing, holding the rooms within a single, restrained register that lets the building's much-loved character speak for itself.
