For SABA's Collins Street address, the brief asked for a considered, careful and quietly held sense of refinement worthy of the street itself. A palette of warm hard-plaster Venetian walls, painted exposed brick and timber panelling lends the space enclosure, demarcated by thin black lines and steel and glass partitions of carefully varying opacity; a signature gesture, allowing connection without restricting visual access. The brand's tailored register holds alongside the considerable civic weight of its surroundings.
