Designed in collaboration with Woods Bagot, Merivale offices are a take on the mid-century style, with a contemporary, Sydney twist. With purposed domestic elements folded into the spaces, there is a sense of the familiar throughout. The dark, opulent palette, together with rich timbers and leather details is contrasted against the vegetation and earthy qualities of formed concrete and metal details.
The combination of palette and natural light challenge the traditional workplace typology. The clerestory, skylight and full-height glazing embrace all that Sydney life embodies, the outdoor. Dotted throughout, there are smaller more intimate spaces, where function is concealed. Designed as a place of business, the gallery feel throughout is intentional, infusing a sense of luxe through quality and endurability.
